Born on April 17, 1989, Deolis Alexander Guerra is a professional baseball player who currently plays for New Britain Rock Cats. Hailing from San Felix, Venezuela, he stands 6 ft. 5 in. and 1s 200 lbs in weight. He signed as a free agent with the New York Mets on the 2nd of July, 2005. In 2006, he was awarded as the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week. He played for the World Team in the All-Star Futures Game in Major League Baseball.
He also played for the Fort Myers Miracle where he recorded a win-loss ratio of 7-2 and an ERA of 4.83 during the season’s first half. The team was again successful during the first half of the 2009 season. He was once again named as the Player of the Week in July 2009. He also made 106 strikeouts from the combined statistics with the two teams. He was included to Minnesota Twins roster of 40 players on November 20, 2009. In 2010, he joined his previous team, the New Britain Rock Cats and made a 3.07 earned run average before he went to the Triple-A team.
