Paul Richards (full name: Paul Rapier Richards; no nicknames) played catcher from 1932 until 1946 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Giants, Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Dodgers in 1932, Giants from 1933 - 1935, Athletics in 1935 and Tigers from 1943 - 1946. Over 8 seasons, he played 523 games, hit 15 home runs, drove in 140 runs, and stole 15 bases. Born on November 21, 1908 in Waxahachie, TX, Richards stood 6' 1" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 17, 1932 and he played his final game on September 22, 1946.
