About Paul Pressey Memorabilia & Collectibles

Paul Pressey is a retired professional basketball player who was born as Paul Matthew Pressey on December 24, 1958. He hails from Richmond, Virginia and spent his college basketball career at Tulsa University where he practiced his superb basketball skills. After a celebrated college career, he was selected to play in the National Basketball Association by the Milwaukee Bucks who drafted him in the first round of the 1982 NBA Draft and spent his first seasons as a pro with the team.

According to many reviews, Pressey is the origin of the basketball play position called point forward, which functions as a combined forward and point guard. He spent the 1980s season playing as a smell forward for the Milwaukee Bucks. In his entire career with the Bucks, he has recorded leading number of assists in the team for five seasons. In 1986, Pressey participated in the Slam Dunk Contest of the NBA and ranked 6th among eight contenders. He also played for the San Antonio Spurs from the 1991 to 1992 seasons and the Golden State Warriors in 1993.

He retired before the 1992-1993 season and served as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors. Currently, Pressey works as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers together with Byron Scott.
