Paul Pierce is a National Basketball Association player who is currently part of the Boston Celtics team. He started as a high school basketball star of the Inglewood High School where he became part of the McDonald’s All-American Game and a slam dunk competition. In the said events, he was able to play with fellow future NBA athletes Antawn Jamison and Kevin Garnett, as well as Stephon Marbury and Vince Carter who won the slam dunk event.
He spent his college basketball career in University of Kansas where he became famous for his 16.4 PPG average and a rebound average of 6.3 in his three years in the school’s basketball team. He was named as the Most Valuable Player for two seasons and was part of the 1998 National Basketball Association Draft where he was selected by the Boston Celtics. He instantly became a star in the said league after he continued to score numerous points and make a number of rebounds. In above twelve years of his performance in the league, he was able to score 22.5 points per game and was included in the All-Star team for eight times. He played very significant roles in helping the Celtics reach the 2008 and 2010 NBA Finals and for the team’s success in the NBA Finals of the 2008 season. The said finals were his first in the league and he even got the Most Valuable Player Award.
