Paul Aaron Lindblad was an American left-handed middle-relief pitcher in MLB who is member of three World Series championship teams; he was a solid left-handed specialist in the American League for 14 seasons. A very fine fielder as well, he set a major league record by going from 1966 to 1974 without making an error in 385 games.
In the 10th of 1973 World Series, he became the last pitcher faced by future Hall of Famer Willie Mays, who grounded out as a pinch-hitter.

He played for the Athletics from 1965 - 1967, Athletics from 1968 - 1976, Senators in 1971, Rangers from 1972 - 1978 and Yankees in 1978. Over 14 seasons, he started 32 games, won 68 games, struck out 671 batters, and had a 3.29 ERA. Born on August 9, 1941 in Chanute, KS, Lindblad stood 6' 1" and weighed 185 lb. He attended Chanute (Chanute, KS) high school. His debut was on September 15, 1965 and he played his final game on October 1, 1978. Over his career, Lindblad made $146,000.
