Paul Henderson is a retired professional hockey player in the National Hockey League as well as in the American Hockey League and the World Hockey Association. Born in Lucknow, Ontario, Henderson was a left winger and was able to cement his reputation as a player after he was able to secure Canada’s win during the 1972 Summit Series.
Henderson started his junior hockey career playing in the Western Junior ‘B’ Hockey League for the Goedrich Sailors. After helping the team get to the playoffs, Henderson went to play in the Ontario Hockey League for the Hamilton Red Wings where he was a great help to the team’s winning of the 1962 Memorial Cup.
The Detroit Red Wings signed Henderson as a free agent in 1962 where he played two games for the team during his first season. Henderson was given more game time during the succeeding seasons. In 1972, Henderson was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs where played for the team in a total of six seasons.
Henderson decided to play for the World Hockey Association and signed with the Toronto Toros. The Toros later relocated and changed its name to Birmingham Bulls. In 1980, Henderson signed with the Atlanta Flames and got back in the NHL before retiring in 1981.

He played for the Red Wings from 1963 - 1968, Leafs from 1968 - 1974 and Flames in 1980. Over 13 seasons, he played 707 games, scored 236 goals, and made 241 assists. Born in Kincardine, Ontario on January 28, 1943, Henderson stands 5-11 and weighs 180 lbs.
