He played for the Mets from 1995 - 1996, Braves from 1997 - 2004, Phillies from 1998 - 2001, Royals from 2001 - 2002, Angels in 2005, Indians from 2006 - 2008 and Red Sox from 2008 - 2009. Over 14 seasons, he started 256 games, won 109 games, struck out 923 batters, and had a 4.41 ERA. Born on December 3, 1970 in Louisville, KY, Byrd stands 6' 1" and weighs 185 lb. He attended St. Xavier (Louisville, KY) high school and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 4th round of the 1991 amateur draft. His debut was on July 28, 1995.
