About Pat Haden Memorabilia & Collectibles
We see Pat Haden as a sportscaster for NBC Sports and FOX Sports but he was once a great football player as well. He was born in Westerbury, New York but he played high school football for the Bishop Amat Memorial High School in California.
Haden was offered a scholarship from the University of Southern California and was under the guidance of John McKay. In the four seasons that he played for the USC, he was able to participate in a total of three Rose Bowls. Haden was also credited for two national championships. He was named as the co-MVP in his last Rose Bowl and was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame in the same year that he was inducted in the National High School Hall of Fame, in 1995.
He was selected in the seventh round of the 1975 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. The reason for why he was only selected during latter round of the draft was because of his decision to go to Oxford University for his Rhodes scholarship. Haden decided to play for the World Football League while studying in UK. Haden went on to play in the NFL in 1976 and decided to retire in 1981.
