 Pat Garrity, whose original name is Patrick Joseph Garrity  was born on August 23, 1976 in the noisy town of Nevada in Las Vegas. He is a former NBA basketball player who played for theOrlando Magic for ten consecutive years. He was picked from the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA draft of 1998. He was traded for Steve Nash to the Phoenix Suns along with Bubba Wells and Martin Müürsepp.  

 

His first years on the professional basketball was spent with the Phoenix Suns where he was able to have an average of 5.6 points each game in almost 39 appearances in the NBA lockout fifty game season. After receiving his inaugural campaign, Pat Garrity was traded with Danny Manning for Anfernee Hardaway to the Orlando Magic. 

 

He played eighty two games with the Orlando Magic between 1999 and 2000. He had made an average of 8.2 points per game and a 40.1 percent in the shooting.  

 

His stellar career ended in the NBA season of 2003 to 2004 due to cartilage damage in his right knee. This injury forced him to have a microfracture surgery. In September 2008, he formally announced his retirement. As of last year, 2009, he is said to have been taking classes at the Fuqua School of Business .

Pat Garrity (full name: Patrick Joseph Garrity; Pat) played Forward from 1999 until 2008 for the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic. Over 10 seasons, he played 552 games, scored 4017 points (7.3 ppg) and grabbed 1457 rebounds (2.6 rpg). Garrity also dished out 443 assists (0.8 apg), made 246 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 104 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 23, 1976, Garrity stands 6-9 and weighs 238 lbs. He attended high school at Lewis Palmer in Monument, Colorado and college at University of Notre Dame. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1st round (19th pick, 19th overall) of the 1998 NBA draft.
