Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Peter J. “ P.J.” Carlesoimo is an American coach for the National Basketball Association’s Toronto Raptors. He graduated in Fordham University where he started his coaching career in the school as an assistant. He head coach the basketball team of the New Hampshire College for a year which marks his first coaching job. He replaced Rick Adelman as coach to NBA’s Portland Trail blazers in 1994. Once again, he took over the Golden State Warriors from Rick Adelman in 1997. He got fired after the team lost for three consecutive years under his hands. On the 31st of May 2010, with the Toronto Raptor’s coach Jay Triano, he agreed to be Triano’s assistant.
