Odell Hale (full name: Arvel Odell Hale; Bad News) played second baseman and third baseman from 1931 until 1941 for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox and New York Giants. He played for the Indians from 1931 - 1940, Red Sox in 1941 and Giants in 1941. Over 10 seasons, he played 1062 games, hit 73 home runs, drove in 551 runs, and stole 57 bases. Born on August 10, 1908 in Hosston, LA (All Transactions), Hale stood 5' 10" and weighed 175 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on August 1, 1931 and he played his final game on September 7, 1941. Common misspellings of his name include Arvel Bad News Odell Hale.
