An American professional golfer,
Notah Begay was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 14, 1972.
He graduated from high school in Albuquerque Academy and finished his college years at Stanford University. He is said to be referred frequently to as the Tiger Woods, roommate and teammate in college. Begay turned professional in the year 1995 and was the 3-time All American player. In 1998, Begay is in the tenth place on the Nike Tour money list. The following year, he attained another victory when he won a place on the PGA tour. Begay achieved a winning pair in every first two seasons in his tour. Begay won the PGA Tour in 1999 twice and in the year 2000; he won the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge and also won the 2000 PGA Tour twice at the FedEx St.Jude Classic, Canon Greater Hartford Open. Begay experienced what it is to be in jail when he was arrested and served the jail for seven days but essentially, he also spent time in the jail playing golf.
He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2006 that made him the only full-blooded American Indian player. Climbing up the ladder of success in his career, he ended the 2006 season with successful records and earned the card for the European Tour. Begay was also featured in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings.
