Nick Strincevich (full name: Nicholas Strincevich; Jumbo) played pitcher from 1940 until 1948 for the Boston Bees, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Bees in 1940, Braves in 1941, Pirates from 1941 - 1948 and Phillies in 1948. Over 8 seasons, he started 103 games, won 46 games, struck out 274 batters, and had a 4.05 ERA. Born on March 1, 1915 in Gary, IN (All Transactions), Strincevich stands 6' 1" and weighs 180 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 23, 1940 and he played his final game on June 11, 1948. Common misspellings of his name include Jumbo Nicholas Nick Strincevich.
