Nick Price, born as Nicholas Price on January 28, 1957, is a professional golf player who hails from Zimbabwe. He is a graduate of Prince Edward School where he played golf and became the school’s team captain. His professional golf career started in the year 1977 when he played in the Southern Africa Tour. He went to play first in the European Tour before joining the PGA Tour in the 1983 season. According to reviews, Price is one of the best players in the 90s. In 1994, he bagged two major championship wins which are the PGA Championship which he won over Corey Pavin and The Open against Jesper Parnevik.
He also played in the 1991 GTE Byron Nelson Classic where he defeated Craig Stadler and in the 1991 Canadian Open where he emerged victorious over Greg Norman. He was named as PGA Champion in 1992 when he defeated John Cook, Gene Sauers and Jim Gallagher. He also recorded five wins in the European Tour and ten Sunshine Tour wins.
In the 1994 Honda Classic he defeated Craig Parry with one stroke. Because of his enormous list of professional wins, he was named in 2003 to the World Golf Hall of Fame. He was the number one player in the Official World Golf Rankings for 43 weeks.
