Nick Folk is a professional football player who is currently the kicker for the New York Jets. Prior to going professional, Folk went to Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. While attending high school, he earned the distinction of being an “All-CIF player”.
Folk decided to play for the University of Arizona. In one of his games, he was able to make a field goal of 52 yards. That field goal would be a highlight of his college career.
His professional career started when he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2007 NFL Draft. In a game against the Buffalo Bills, he was able to make a 53-yard game winning kick during his first season in the NFL. He was named as a kicker for the Pro Bowl. He was released by the Cowboys in 2009.
Folk decided to sign with the New York Jets in 2010. He ranks 35th most accurate kicker in NFL history. Nick Folk made it to the 2007 All-Pro selection and became the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week in week 5 of the 2007 NFL season. He was also the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for the same week.
