Nick Faldo was born in Welwyn Garden City, England on July 18, 1957.
Faldo started grabbing and earning victories during his young age. He won the 1975 English Amateur Championship and the British Youths Championship and achieved quickly the success of his game. In 1976, he turned being a professional golfer. In 1977, he finished 8th on the European Tour Order of Merit and in 1978, he won 3rd in a European Tour event. At the age of 21, Faldo was the youngest player that had appeared in the Ryder Cup. He led the European Tour in the early 1980s. In 1983, he topped in the Order Merit. In the 1987 Open Championship, Faldo claim his first major title.
In 1989 and 1990, he won the Masters Tournament and was the PGA Tour Player of the Year. In 1992, he claimed his second time victory of the European Tour Order of Merit. Faldo had already won 29 European Tour Titles. He is known to be the one of the Europe’s most successful players in the history of golf. e won 23 of his matches and still holding on the record for playing the most of the Ryder Cup matches.
