Newt Kimball (full name: Newell W. Kimball; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1937 until 1943 for the Chicago Cubs, Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Blue Jays. He played for the Cubs from 1937 - 1938, Dodgers from 1940 - 1943, Cardinals in 1940 and Blue Jays in 1943. Over 6 seasons, he started 13 games, won 11 games, struck out 88 batters, and had a 3.78 ERA. Born on March 27, 1915 in Logan, UT, Kimball stood 6' 2" and weighed 190 lb. He attended Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on May 7, 1937 and he played his final game on September 23, 1943.
