Nelson Pyatt (full name: Nelson Pyatt; no nicknames) played center from 1974 until 1980 for the Detroit Red Wings, Washington Capitals and Colorado Rockies. He played for the Red Wings from 1974 - 1975, Capitals from 1975 - 1976 and from 1977 - 1980. Over 7 seasons, he played 296 games, scored 71 goals, and made 63 assists. Born in Port Arthur, Ontario on September 9, 1953, Pyatt stands 6-0 and weighs 175 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 3rd round (39th overall) of the 1973 NHL Amateur Draft.
