Nate Thurmond (full name: Nathaniel Thurmond; Nate, Nate the Great) played Center-Forward from 1964 until 1977 for the San Francisco Warriors, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers. Over 14 seasons, he played 964 games, scored 14437 points (15.0 ppg) and grabbed 14464 rebounds (15.0 rpg). Thurmond also dished out 2575 assists (2.7 apg), made 125 steals (0.1 spg), and blocked 553 shots (0.6 bpg) during his career. Born in Akron, Ohio on July 25, 1941, Thurmond stands 6-11 and weighs 225 lbs. He attended high school at Central Hower in Akron, Ohio and college at Bowling Green State University. He was drafted by the San Francisco Warriors in the 1st round (3rd pick, 3rd overall) of the 1963 NBA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1985.
