Nate Robertson is an American professional baseball player; he is currently playing for the Florida Marlins. Robertson was born in Wichita, Kansas and attended Wichita State University where he took his college studies. Using both hands, Robertson bats using his right and pitches as a left-hander. He was listed at 6 ft. 2 in. and 225 lbs. Robertson plays as a pitcher. Prior to his entry in the major leagues, Robertson was drafted twice by the Chicago White Sox in the 1995 and 1998 amateur draft, Robertson, however, failed to sign in both drafts. He started his professional baseball career in the Major League Baseball when he was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 1999 amateur draft, where he was the 5th round pick of the team, and formally signed a deal on June 5, 1999. Robertson made his debut in the majors on September 7, 2002. A year after his debut with the Marlins, he was dealt to the Detroit Tigers in January 2003. And on March 2010, Robertson was traded back to the Marlins for a player later to be named, according to sources.
