He played for the Cardinals from 1939 - 1957, Pirates from 1949 - 1953, Phillies from 1954 - 1956, Yankees in 1958 and Athletics from 1958 - 1959. Over 18 seasons, he started 338 games, won 172 games, struck out 1281 batters, and had a 3.66 ERA. Born on August 21, 1916 in Tracy, MO, Dickson stood 5' 10" and weighed 157 lb.
