Mule Haas (full name: George William Haas; no nicknames) played centerfielder and first baseman from 1931 until 1938 for the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Athletics from 1931 - 1938 and White Sox from 1933 - 1937. Over 12 seasons, he played 1168 games, hit 43 home runs, drove in 706 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on October 15, 1903 in Montclair, NJ (All Transactions), Haas stood 6' 1" and weighed 175 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on August 15, 1925 and he played his final game on September 1, 1938. Common misspellings of his name include George Mule William Haas.
