He played formerly with the New York Mets in 1980 to 1989 and Toronto Blue Jays from 1989-1991. He is known because of his impressive speed and positive attitude. Wilson had gathered numerous fans because of his personality. He was also known of the frequent chant “Mooooooooo-kie”. This chant was a sign of appreciation to him by his fans. He started his baseball career in college wherein he played at the University of South Carolina as a college baseball player. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in New York from Mercy College.
