 Milton Plum is a former professional football player who hails from Westville, New Jersey. He had his college football career at Penn State University where he starred as a football varsity athlete and served as a quarterback. Before his top-rated college career, he played high school football at Woodbury High School. He began his professional career in 1957 after he was picked by the Cleveland Browns. He had his debut in the National Football League in the same year, and had contributed much to the Browns’ success in the Eastern Conference.

 

He also became part of the Detroit Lions in 1962 and stayed with the team until 1967. He signed with the Los Angeles Rams in 1968 but after a year, moved to New York Giants.

 

He was able to record 110.4 rating in the 1960 season which is the highest among quarterbacks until the 1989 season in the league. He ended his professional career after the 1979 season. After him, Jim Ninowski became the starting quarterbacks in the Cleveland Browns. According to reviews, he was a great quarterback that helped his previous National Football League teams to a number of records and championship titles.

Milt Plum (fullname: Milton Ross Plum; no nicknames) played from 1957 until 1969 for the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants. He played 129 games, starting 103 of those. Born in Westville, NJ on January 20, 1935, Plum stands 6'1 and weighs 205 lbs. He attended college at Penn State. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 2nd round (17th overall) of the 1957 NFL Draft.
