Michael Richard Weir is a professional golfer from Canada currently on the PGA Tour. He stayed for over 100 weeks in the top- 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings. He won his 1st junior tournament when he was 12.

Part of his early achievements is winning the Ontario Amateur Championship in 1990 and 1992 and was an All- American selection at Brigham Young University in 1992.

His professional career started when he won 3 events on the Canadian Professional Golf Tour in 1992. His 1st PGA Tour came at the Air Canada Championship in Surrey, British Columbia in 1999. Mike Weir was a three-time receiver of the Lionel Conacher Award in 2000, 2001 and 2003. He made an impression fashion when he won 2 tournaments on the West Coast Swing in 2003. Moving forward on his career, he won the prestigious Masters Tournament at Augusta, Georgia on April 13, 2003. On the same year, he tied for 3rd at the U.S. Open which moved him to the 3rd in the Official World Golf Rankings. Because of his outstanding play in, he won the Lou Marsh Trophy for outstanding Canadian athlete. On a new swing, he showed some positive results including a tie for 8 at The Open Championship in 2007.
