Mike Renfro is a retired professional football player who hails from Fort Worth, Texas. He appeared in the National Football League as a wide receiver for two teams. He had his college football career at Texas Christian University where he also served as a wide receiver. Listed at 6 ft. and 186 lbs., he spent a total of ten seasons in NFL.
Renfro was drafted to play in the league in the National Football League Draft in 1978. He was selected by the Houston Oilers in the fourth round of the said draft. According to reviews, one of his unforgettable moments in NFL was in November in 1987 when he caught seven passes and scored 3 touchdowns for 100 yards. He was able to do this against Danny White of the Minnesota Vikings. In his entire career in NFL, he played 133 games and started 95 of those games.
He was also part of the Houston Oilers’ appearance in the AFC Championship in the 1980 season. Aside from the Oilers, he also played for the Dallas Cowboys which he signed in 1984 and left in 1987. Clint Renfro, his son, is also pursuing his football career in college and is showing much potential to play in NFL.
