Mike Remlinger is a retired professional baseball player who hails from Middletown, New York. He had his college education in Dartmouth College and also played baseball in the said university. While playing for his college team, he established the highest ERA in his sophomore year with 1.59. He started his professional career after being drafted as a 16th selection in the Major League Baseball amateur draft in the 1987 season.

 

He spent 16 seasons in the Major League Baseball and has played for a few teams like the San Francisco Giants which signed him in 1991 and the New York Mets which he joined from 1994 to 1995. He also became part of the Cincinnati Reds and appeared for the Atlanta Braves. From 2003 to 2005, he became part of the Chicago Cubs. His final seasons in the league were spent with the Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves which he signed in 2006. His final MLB game was on June 26, 2006 for the Braves.

 

He ended his Major League Baseball career with a record of 53-54 and an ERA of 3.89. He was able to play 634 games in his entire stay at the major league and had logged 20 saves in total. In 2002, he was included in the All-Star team of the National League.

He played for the Giants in 1991, Mets from 1994 - 1995, Reds from 1995 - 1998, Braves from 1999 - 2006, Cubs from 2003 - 2005 and Red Sox in 2005. Over 14 seasons, he started 59 games, won 53 games, struck out 854 batters, and had a 3.90 ERA. Born on March 23, 1966 in Middletown, NY, Remlinger stands 6' 0" and weighs 195 lb. He attended Carver (Plymouth, MA) high school and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1st round (16th pick) of the 1987 amateur draft.
