Mike Phillips (full name: Michael Dwaine Phillips; no nicknames) played shortstop, second baseman and third baseman from 1973 until 1983 for the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Montreal Expos. He played for the Giants from 1973 - 1975, Mets from 1975 - 1977, Cardinals from 1977 - 1980, Padres in 1981 and Expos from 1981 - 1983. Over 11 seasons, he played 712 games, hit 11 home runs, drove in 166 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on August 19, 1950 in Beaumont, TX, Phillips stands 6' 0" and weighs 170 lb. He attended MacArthur (Irving, TX) high school and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1st round (18th pick) of the 1969 amateur draft.
