Mike Pelfry is a professional baseball player and is currently in the starting roster of the New York Mets. Pelfry is a right-handed pitcher and is often referred as Big Pelf. Pelfry went to Wichita State University and entered the 2005 amateur draft after foregoing his last year in college. Pelfry was selected by the New York Mets and was assigned to the St. Lucie Mets where he gave up a 1.64 earned run average and was promoted to the Binghamton Mets.
