Mike Murphy (full name: Mike Murphy; no nicknames) played right wing from 1972 until 1983 for the St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings. He played for the Blues from 1972 - 1973, Rangers from 1973 - 1974 and Kings from 1974 - 1983. Over 12 seasons, he played 831 games, scored 238 goals, and made 318 assists. Born in Toronto, Ontario on September 12, 1950, Murphy stands 6-0 and weighs 190 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 2nd round (25th overall) of the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft.
