Mike Maddux (full name: Michael Ausley Maddux; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1986 until 2000 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Montreal Expos and Houston Astros. He played for the Phillies from 1986 - 1989, Dodgers from 1990 - 1999, Padres from 1991 - 1992, Mets from 1993 - 1994, Pirates in 1995, Red Sox from 1995 - 1996, Mariners in 1997, Expos from 1998 - 1999 and Astros in 2000. Over 15 seasons, he started 48 games, won 39 games, struck out 564 batters, and had a 4.05 ERA. Born on August 27, 1961 in Dayton, OH, Maddux stands 6' 2" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Rancho (Las Vegas, CA) high school and was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 5th round of the 1982 amateur draft.
