 Mike Hough is a retired professional ice hockey player who has played in the National Hockey League for a total of 13 seasons. A Canadian, Hough was born in Montreal, Quebec and became active in the NHL from the late 1980s to the late 1990s. Hough first played in the Ontario Hockey League for the Kitchener Rangers during the 1981-1982 seasons.

 

Hough entered the 1982 NHL entry draft and was selected by the Quebec Nordiques during the ninth round. Before being able to play in the NHL, Hough first played for the Fredericton Express in the American Hockey League. During the 1984 season, Hough was finally able to break into the league with the Nordiques. However, he went back to playing in the AHL for Fredericton before being able to play full time in the NHL during the 1989 season. In 1991, Hough was named as the captain for the Quebec Nordiques and came up with a total of 38 points for that season.

 

During the 1993 season, Hough was traded to the Washington Capitals and was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft after he was left unprotected. As a free agent in 1997, Hough signed with the New York Islanders and retired in 1999.

Mike Hough (full name: Mike Hough; no nicknames) played left wing from 1985 until 1999 for the Quebec Nordiques, Florida Panthers and New York Islanders. He played for the Nordiques from 1985 - 1993, Panthers from 1994 - 1997 and Islanders from 1998 - 1999. Over 13 seasons, he played 707 games, scored 100 goals, and made 156 assists. Born in Montreal, Quebec on February 6, 1963, Hough stands 6-1 and weighs 197 lbs. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 9th round (181st overall) of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.
