Mikael Andersson (full name: Mikael Andersson; no nicknames) played left wing from 1986 until 2000 for the Buffalo Sabres, Hartford Whalers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers and New York Islanders. He played for the Sabres from 1986 - 1989, Whalers from 1990 - 1992, Lightning from 1993 - 1999, Flyers from 1999 - 2000 and Islanders in 2000. Over 15 seasons, he played 761 games, scored 95 goals, and made 169 assists. Born in Malmo, Sweden on May 10, 1966, Andersson stands 5-11 and weighs 181 lbs. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1st round (18th overall) of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft.
