Mike Bossy was born in Montreal, Quebec on January 22, 1957.
He is the former ice hockey that played for the New York Islanders. At the age of 14, he started his junior career with Quebec Major Hockey League. He was considered to be the apprehensive player by NHL scouts. He passed over by twelve teams with the New York Rangers in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft. Bossy was the rookie in the season of 1977-1978 having the record of 53 goals. In the same year, he was named a Second Team All- Star and won the Trophy. He scored 50 goals in the first 50 games of the season in 1980- 1981. In 1982, he won the Stanley Cup and the Conn Smythe Trophy and led the Mike Bossy autographed HOF 91 Islanders puck a favorite item to many of his fans. He achieved the scoring record for right- wingers with 147 points.
