Mickey Cochrane (full name: Gordon Stanley Cochrane; Black Mike) played catcher from 1931 until 1937 for the Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Athletics from 1931 - 1933 and Tigers from 1934 - 1937. Over 13 seasons, he played 1482 games, hit 119 home runs, drove in 1041 runs, and stole 64 bases. Born on April 6, 1903 in Bridgewater, MA, Cochrane stood 5' 10" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Bridgewater (Bridgewater, MA) high school. His debut was on April 14, 1925 and he played his final game on May 25, 1937. Over his career, Cochrane made $46,000.
