Michel Petit (full name: Michel Petit; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1983 until 1998 for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers, Quebec Nordiques, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Los Angeles Kings, Tampa Bay Lightning, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers and Phoenix Coyotes. He played for the Canucks from 1983 - 1988, Rangers from 1988 - 1989, Nordiques from 1990 - 1991, Leafs from 1991 - 1992, Flames from 1992 - 1994, Kings from 1995 - 1996, Lightning in 1996, Oilers in 1997, Flyers in 1997 and Coyotes in 1998. Over 16 seasons, he played 827 games, scored 90 goals, and made 238 assists. Born in St-Malo, Quebec on February 12, 1964, Petit stands 6-1 and weighs 205 lbs. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1st round (11th overall) of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.
