Michel Goulet, a former professional ice hockey player, was born on April 21, 1960. Before playing for the National Hockey League, he became part of the World Hockey Association. He played with the Birmingham Bulls in 1978 and 1979 seasons and recorded 58 points and 28 goals. He was drafted by Quebec Nordiques in 1979 as the 20th overall pick. According to sources, he was an impressive player during his first four seasons in NFL, scoring 50 goals per season. Because of his great performances, he was considered as a centerpiece of his team.
He joined the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1989 to 1990 seasons when his former team, Quebec Nordiques did not make it to the playoffs and finished with 12 wins, 7 ties and 61 losses. An ill-fated event happened on March 16 1994 when Goulet suffered a severe concussion after his head was stuck to the end boards. He was forced to retire because of that incident and spent time adjusting to post trauma syndromes.
He became a Hockey Hall of Famer in 1998. he played a total of 1089 National Hockey League games and made 548 goals with 604 assists. He became a Director of Player Personnel in 1996 for the Colorado Avalanche.
