Michael Robinson is an American football player who currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He hails from Richmond, Virginia. Robinson began playing football when he attended Varina High School where he was a superb quarterback, one sports review said. Robinson then led his high school team to four consecutive regional titles. In 2002, Robinson went to Pennsylvania State University where he took his college education. Robinson also played college football in the said university where he shifted from offensive set from running back to running back. And during his sophomore year, he became Penn State’s second leading rusher.

Robinson started his professional football career in the National Football League when he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2006 NFL Draft where he was the third pick in the fourth round of the team. According to sources, the 49ers’ head coach, Mike Nolan was immediately impressed during their training camp with Robinson’s display of attitude and toughness. According to several sports review, Mike Nolan pointed out that he intended to use Robinson more often in goal line situation. This was after Robinson scored his first and second career touchdown versus the Philadelphia Eagles in week three. Robinson became the team’s starter as fullback in the 2008 seasons in relief of Zak Keasey.
