Merlin Malinowski (full name: Merlin Malinowski; no nicknames) played center from 1979 until 1983 for the Colorado Rockies, New Jersey Devils and Hartford Whalers. He played for the from 1979 - 1982, Devils in 1983 and Whalers in 1983. Over 5 seasons, he played 282 games, scored 54 goals, and made 111 assists. Born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on September 27, 1958, Malinowski stands 6-0 and weighs 190 lbs. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2nd round (27th overall) of the 1978 NHL Amateur Draft.
