An American football quarterback, Matt Hasslebeck was born in Westwood, Massachusetts on September 25, 1975.
In his high school career, Hasslebeck attended Xavieran Brothers High School in Westwood, Massachusetts. As a senior, he was an honorable mention All- American selection by USA Today. In the 1988 NFL Draft, he was drafted out by the Green Bay Packers of Boston College. Hasslebeck had his debut in 1999 wherein he began his pro-career with the Packers. On March 2, 2001, he joined the Seahawks when the Packers traded him. He was then regarded to be among the best players in the NFL in 2005.
He led the Seahawks to the playoffs for the third consecutive year and boasted the highest passer rating in the NFC. He carried the team to a 20-10 victory over the Washington Redskins on January 14, 2006. He reigned with victory when was able to led the Seahawks in their second conference championship game on January 22, 2006 and made the autographed Seahawks mini helmet a precious piece. He led the team with victory over the Carolina Panthers to a 34-14 score.
