About Matt Guerrier Memorabilia & Collectibles
Relief pitcher Matt Guerrier is a professional baseball player. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Guerrier decided to go to Kent University before going professional in 1999. He has been playing for the Minnesota Twins ever since making his 2004 MLB debut. However, he was originally drafted by the Chicago White Sox during the 1999 amateur draft’s round ten.
Guerrier played for the Bristol White Sox of the Appalachian League and Winston-Salem Warthogs in the Carolina League during his first season in the league. After splitting between the two leagues during his second season, he was able to play in the Southern League and the International League in 2001. After he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2002, Guerrier spent his time with the Pirates affiliate in the Pacific Coast in 2002 and 2003 seasons.
He finally signed with the Minnesota Twins in 2003 and made his first appearance in the MLB in 2004. As a pitcher, Guerrier has four pitching styles in his selection—a 90-94 fastball, a mid-80 tight slider, a big breaker and a tight biting hook. Guerrier is the kind of pitcher who can start a game or be called towards the end. As of now, Guerrier has an earned run average of 5.29.
