Mats Lindgren (full name: Mats Lindgren; no nicknames) played center/left wing from 1997 until 2003 for the Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks. He played for the Oilers from 1997 - 1999, Islanders from 1999 - 2002 and Canucks in 2003. Over 7 seasons, he played 387 games, scored 54 goals, and made 74 assists. Born in Skelleftea, Sweden on October 1, 1974, Lindgren stands 6-2 and weighs 202 lbs. He was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1st round (15th overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Lindgren officially announced retirement on January 20, 2005.
