Marv Owen (full name: Marvin James Owen; Freck) played third baseman, first baseman and shortstop from 1931 until 1940 for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Tigers from 1931 - 1937, White Sox from 1938 - 1939 and Red Sox in 1940. Over 9 seasons, he played 1011 games, hit 31 home runs, drove in 473 runs, and stole 30 bases. Born on March 22, 1906 in Agnew, CA, Owen stood 6' 1" and weighed 175 lb. He attended Bellarmine Prep (San Jose, CA) high school.
