Martin Lapointe (full name: Martin Lapointe; no nicknames) played right wing from 1992 until 2008 for the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. He played for the Red Wings from 1992 - 2001, Bruins from 2002 - 2004, Blackhawks from 2006 - 2008 and Senators in 2008. Over 16 seasons, he played 991 games, scored 181 goals, and made 200 assists. Born in Ville St-Pierre, Quebec on September 12, 1973, Lapointe stands 5-11 and weighs 215 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1st round (10th overall) of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.
