A former football player in the National Football League, Marshall Faulk was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 26, 1973.

 

He simply started as a stand-out back at San Diego State University. At a one incident in his college year, Faulk scored 140 and gained 1,429 yards rushing with a total of 23 blazing touchdowns. This had led him to be considered as one of the greatest freshman in NCAA history. His professional career began when the Indianapolis Colts drafted him as the 2nd overall pick during the 1994 NFL Draft. Due to some misunderstandings, Faulk was then traded to the St. Louis Rams. He was subjected to several offenses formations but these were all paid off with his incredible NFL record of 2,429 yards and scored 12 touchdowns.

 

The team won the Super Bowl XXXIV and Faulk then successfully received the NFL Offensive player of the Year Award at the end season of 1998. He was the first running back in the NFL history that had led the team in receptions in five separate seasons. In 2000, Faulk was hailed again as the Offensive Player of the Year and was the National Football League MVP. He made a very impressive performance in the 2001 season wherein the Rams had reached the Super Bowl XXXVI. He gained 100th rushing touchdowns and successfully became the only 6th player in NFL history to complete the act.
