About Marquise Walker Memorabilia & Collectibles

Marquise Walker hails from Syracuse, New York and was born on December 11, 1978. He stands 6 feet and 2 inches and weighs 210 pounds. He signed to play in the National Football League but have had no success yet in the professional arena because most scouts believed that he lacked the speed to make it big in the pros though he had the balance, strength, and size.

Walker attended Henninger High School and played both football and basketball. In fact, he was a stellar basketball player with remarkable numbers but he left the sport to concentrate on football. During high school, he set several New York State Public High School Athletic Association records, including career receptions and career receiving yards. These records have been broken by Bruce Williams from Christian Brother’s Academy in 2004. In 2001, Anthony Morat of Rome, New York broke one of Walker’s records. Some of the awards that Walker bagged in high school include the Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year for New York State and USAToday All- USA high school football team.

In college, Walker made his famous one- handed catch twice. His catches in college football were considered some of the best catches in a college match by Baltimore Ravens’ Senior Vice President of football operations Ozzie Newsome. He played for the University of Michigan and some of the teams they faced were Ohio State and Michigan State. In 2001, Walker’s play was crucial to his team winning the Big Ten Conference games and Big Ten all games reception.

Walker was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ 1st draft in 2002 but did not appear in any games. After signing for several other teams like the Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals, and suffering from a few injuries, Walker got involved in an accident where he was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Collect pieces of Walker’s memorable plays by buying autographed footballs, jerseys, bobbleheads, figures, and autographed game used items.
