Mark Ingram, Sr. is a retired National Football League player who was born on August 23, 1965 in Rockford, Illinois. He attended and played football at Flint Northwestern High School where he served as a quarterback. He went to play college football at Michigan State University where he played as a wide receiver.
He began his National Football League career in 1987 after being drafted by the New York Giants in the 1987 NFL Draft as a first round pick. According to many reviews, Ingram’s well-known performance was during the Super Bowl XXV where he scored a touchdown against the Buffalo Bills. He ended that Super Bowl XXV game with five catches for 77 yards and had the most number of receives. Ingram also played for the Miami Dolphins which he joined from 1993 to 1994 and the Green Bay Packers in 1995. Aside from the mentioned teams, he also played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1996. After the 1996 season, Ingram went to retirement.
His son, Mark Ingram, Jr., is also a football athlete who became famous for winning a Heisman Trophy in 2009. Mark Ingram, Jr. is a famous player from University of Alabama. He was named as the Offensive Most Valuable Player award in the national BCS Championship in 2010.
