Mark Acres (full name: Mark Richard Acres; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1988 until 1993 for the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets and Washington Bullets. Over 6 seasons, he played 375 games, scored 1343 points (3.6 ppg) and grabbed 1525 rebounds (4.1 rpg). Acres also dished out 180 assists (0.5 apg), made 137 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 104 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Inglewood, California on November 15, 1962, Acres stands 6-11 and weighs 220 lbs. He attended high school at Palos Verdes in Palos Verdes Estates, California and college at Oral Roberts University. He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2nd round (16th pick, 40th overall) of the 1985 NBA draft.
