About Mario Williams Memorabilia & Collectibles
Mario Williams is an American professional football athlete who is currently playing as defensive end for the Houston Texans in the National Football League. He hails from Richlands, North Carolina and had his college education and played college football as well where he was a blue chip recruit when he attended North Carolina State University. He began playing in the pro football league after he was drafted by the Houston Texans during the 2006 NFL Draft in the first round. The following 2007 season was a year that Williams answered many of the critics that he got for the reason of his lofty Number one draft pick status.
In 2008, Williams continued to flourish, amassing twelve sacks and fifty three tackles in over fifteen games and starting the defensive end position in all those games. This effort included three sacks and one forced fumble on December 1, 2008 in the Texans' first ever Monday Night Football game. Williams first became a Pro Bowl alternate in 2007 before he became a two time Pro Bowl selection in the following seasons in 2008 and in 2009. Williams was also an All-Pro First-team selection in 2007 and 2008. Apart from his football career, Williams is also an avid gun collector, having ten list of guns in his collection.
