About Marek Malik:
Marek Malik (full name: Marek Malik; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1995 until 2009 for the Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning. He played for the Whalers from 1995 - 1997, Hurricanes from 1999 - 2003, Canucks from 2003 - 2004, Rangers from 2006 - 2008 and Lightning in 2009. Over 13 seasons, he played 691 games, scored 33 goals, and made 135 assists. Born in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia on June 24, 1975, Malik stands 6-6 and weighs 235 lbs. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 3rd round (72nd overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
